Backflow Testing & Certification
Received a Backflow testing request or need your device tested? Send us the information and start directly with Bruno.
Customers often contact us about Backflow testing / certification because they received a notice, the expiration date on their inspection tag is coming up, or they need documentation for the assembly.
Valeriana tests reduced pressure (RP), double check (DC) and pressure vacuum breaker (PVB) assemblies. If you have a notice, a previous report or an existing tag, send a photo of it along with a photo of the device. Bruno can review the request and determine what needs to happen next before the service is scheduled.

Assembly types
What We Test on Each Assembly
Valeriana tests and services the three common types of backflow prevention assemblies. If you are not sure which one you have, send Bruno a photo of the device and its tag.
What your test report records
Every test is documented on a Valeriana Backflow Prevention Assembly Testing & Maintenance Report, including:
- Device owner, address and location of the assembly
- Assembly type, manufacturer, model, size and serial number
- Meter number, permit number and static line pressure
- Test readings for each check valve, relief valve or air inlet
- Any cleaning or parts replaced
- Final test result: pass or fail
- Tester name and signature
Backflow inspection tag
After testing, the assembly gets a Valeriana backflow inspection tag. It records the make, model, size and serial number of the device, the tester’s name, the test result and the expiration date, so the next test date is easy to find.
Keep the tag on the device and keep a copy of your report. If you received a notice from your city, utility or property manager, send it to Bruno along with a photo of the tag.
